Floyd was a small flying robot who defected from Mizar. He is first discovered in several pieces that must be assembled. Once he is, he joins the
Jet Force Gemini team and assists them. He can access holes that are too small for the other team members and even has his own challenge areas. He also acts as a player 2 when the second controller is plugged in.
In the climax of Jet Force Gemini, Floyd willingly gives his life to destroy the Asteroid, which Mizar had sent on a collision course with Earth. The Jet Force Gemini team attach a warhead to Floyd, who enters the core of the Asteroid, and the warhead detonates, destroying both Floyd and the Asteroid.
Betraying Mizar[]
After King Jeff's disruption of the Tawfret invasion, the drones who hadn't been affected by his zombifying magic surge began rounding up the exiled Tribals and assembling them for staged execution. Floyd was present at one such event and led the Tribals in threes to their killing posts. However, he was beginning to see how Mizar's domination schemes were going too far. Before the drones could execute the Tribals, he flew in front of them and shot down three of the Drones. One remaining drone still took a shot at a retreating Tribal but Floyd swooped in front of it, taking the damage instead. As a result, his mechanical body was shattered into four pieces before the surviving Drone tossed the majority of them under Tawfret's Bridge and nailed the headpiece to a wooden post. The pieces under the bridge washed into the connected sewer and tombs until they were retrieved by Juno. Once reassembled, Floyd accompanied Juno and his team mates for the remainder of their mission.
Abilities[]
Floyd remained in passive flying mode when accompanying Juno, Vela and Lupus until he detected nearby enemies. A sharp bleep and the lights on his back switching from blue to red, indicated a red alert. Whilst Floyd assisted in shooting down enemies, he also helped the team by flying through tight spaces to retrieve objects or flip secret switches. When the team arrived at Mizar's Palace, he activated the switch to summon the secret Pyramid to the courtyard, granting them all access to where Mizar was waiting for them.
Aboard the SS Anubis, he retrieved a pair of earplugs for Ivana the Bear by flying through a small tunnel and found the missing arcade gaming chip at the end of a passage in Ichor's Military Base.
His final act was to rescue the Jet Force team and save Earth from Mizar's asteroid by carrying a detonator to its core, thus sacrificing himself.
